I have been trained as an evolutionary genomicist and molecular biologist during both my PhD (University of Paris-Saclay) and Post-Doc (University of Pennsylvania). My research interests focus on evolutionary forces driving the diversification of essential host functions.

So far, I explored the role selfish genetic elements (i.e. Transposable Elements) in shaping Drosophila evolution and how Drosophila genomes adapt to such drastic changes.

Joining the Arguello Lab, I aim to understand how Drosophila adapt to environmental changes through modulation of gene expression in sensory systems.
